FIRST AID AT WORK
The Level 3 First Aid At Work Qualification.
Valid for 3-years.
This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course.
This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID TRAINING
FAA Level 3 award, 2-day course valid for 3-years.
Face to Face, Blended Paediatric First Aid course, 1 day online, 1 day practical and theory.
(Suitable for OFSTED).
This qualification is designed for those who would like to become a Paediatric First Aider in the workplace to ensure a safe working environment.
The course provides training covering a fully comprehensive range of emergency scenarios that can arise for people responsible for the welfare of infants and children.
First Aid is the responsibility for everyone involved in the working environment.
This course is specifically for people working or about to work with early years and the safety and welfare of children.
In order to re-qualify candidates must complete the training and assessment again.
This 2-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification and are due to expire.
First Aid is key for everyone in all environments.
Organised at your site or we can arrange a location and for individuals.
It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in.
If your assessment of first aid identifies, then the First Aid At Work course will provide you with appropriate, highly trained personnel.
The important part to remember is that as soon as the certificate expires, the First Aider is no longer considered competent to act as a First Aider in the workplace which may well leave the employer with a shortfall of First Aiders. Therefore, it would be great to arrange their First Aid at Work Requalification before they expire.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
This Level 3 award, valid for 3-years.
A one-day course of 6 hours, covering emergency first aid in the workplace. Qualified as an appointed person for three years.
Annual training of 3 hours is strongly recommended.
Assist in emergencies, provide reassurance with the ability to use a first aid kit and have the knowledge. Understanding of health and safety regulations and the principles of record keeping.
A range of subjects are covered.
Minimum age of 14 for the course and if having the responsibility in the workplace then 16 years.
The certificate will expire as dated, irrespective of age.
In order to re-qualify candidates must complete the training and assessment again.
AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED)
DEFIBRILLATION.
The Level 2 award, valid for 2-years qualification course for everybody.
This is 4-hour course that will further develop their first aid knowledge covering the safe use of an automated external defibrillator. (AED).
Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques with a defibrillator, basic maintenance and troubleshoot complications.
Competence in CPR, casualty management and using an AED.
Automated External Defibrillator is Trainer Assessed throughout the course and the assessment should determine a candidate’s ability to act safely, promptly and effectively to deal with a casualty suffering a cardiac arrest. Minimum age 16 years.
In order to re-qualify candidates must complete the training and assessment again.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT and Safe use of an AED Course
The basic life support course
Level 2 Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator : 4 hour course
Heart and circulatory disease claims lots of lives each year.
Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available.
Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and workplaces.
A casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.
This very practical course will enable you to use the AED competently and with confidence.
Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED, but it also includes vital training in basic life support including resuscitation.

This qualification lasts for 3 years. To renew their qualification after 3 years, delegates will need to retake the full course.

Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment on each day.

A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and all candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify.

If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course.
This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
This qualification lasts for 3 years. To renew the qualification, learners will need to sit the FAW Re-Qualification course.
It is recommended that during the 3-year period, the learners attend annual refresher courses.
Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment on each day.
A three year Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Level 6 in Scotland) will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.
No external assessors are required.
A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 14 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment. A student cannot assume a responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16, and then it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that the student is suitable for that role.
The certificate will expire as dated on the certificate, irrespective of age.

This course runs over 18 hours spread over at least 3 days. Ideally, the course should be run over three consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire providing it is completed within 10 weeks of starting the course and the training sessions last for a minimum of two hours.
